Maruti Enterprises was formed in the year 2000 as a Partnership Firm for the construction of residential flats. Two enterprising gentlemen after a stint in Apollo Tyres, decided to come together with a firm commitment for building affordable, quality, residential homes. They were Shree V. Venkateswaran S/o the late P.S. Venkateswara Iyer, a well-known lawyer of North Parur and Shree K.Mohandas S/o the late Korapurath Raghava Menon, a School Teacher,Social worker and Politician of Irimpanam. Shree V. Venkateswaran alias Babu Venkatesh was a State Cricketer who played for Kerala in Ranji Trophy matches. He has also served as Coach and Manager for Kerala Team in 1992.
M. Balakrishnan, S/o the late Vyrelil Karunakara Menon, (Prof. of Mathematics and an eminent social worker), joined the firm as a partner. He is a distributor of Bharat Gas having 16000 connections and also is an active Partner of Vindya Enterprises, a Power Tools division, which is the leading one in South India.

In a very short span of 6 years, 6 residential flats and 6 independent units were successfully completed. Also a school building for ‘Adarsh’ , Tripunithura, a charitable organization running a special school for differently abled children was completed
